Peachtree Heights

Peachtree Heights is actually divided into two neighborhoods, split by Peachtree Street. Peachtree Heights East is to the East of Peachtree Street, and Peachtree Heights West is just to the left. The Peachtree Heights East area is well known for its “duck pond,” a beautiful water feature with stacked retaining walls and stone bridges. This is a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, conveniently close to shopping and restaurants.

HISTORY

Peachtree East was developed by real estate developer Eretus “Petie” Rivers and Frank C. Owens, president of the Southern Land Co. in 1906.  Now more than a century old, this area still has large old mansions from days-gone-by  interspersed with newer condos and houses.
