North Buckhead

One of Atlanta’s most affluent neighborhoods, North Buckhead is located at the northern edge of the city just 2.5 miles from downtown. It is bounded by Sandy Springs on the north, East Chastain Park on the west and Lenox and Peachtree Park on the south. The area of North Buckhead is about half residential homes and half high-rise condominiums.

HISTORY

Development began in 1950 when this area became part of the City of Atlanta. The Wieuca Inn was torn down in 1955 and replaced by the Roswell-Wieuca shopping center.
